- RILEY IS HERE TODAY!! .
- Use your time WISELY in the QR. A great deal has been assigned, GP Presentations are around the corner, essays are due, the Trimester is coming to a close...finals; so make sure you are up to date on your assignments and papers (or AT LEAST know they exist), in order to end this Trimester well!
- And NO, you may NOT stay in the QR and skip Service Learning in order to work on Grad Project or Yeater and Z's essays or anything else you may be a bit behind on. You MUST go. So, go.
Below is a special announcement from your classmate Kayla Cohen:
Hello fellow 2016 classmates! For those of you who don't know me I'm Kayla, better known as "the girl with the Afro". I would like your help. I'm conducting my IRP on the comparisons between hair types and conditions of the hair. From you all I'd like volunteers to provide hair and information about your hair to conduct my research. The requirements are:
- At least 6 months of growth or 3 inches of hair measured from the scalp down
- No weaves, braids, or hair with any genetic dysfunction (anyone going through chemotherapy, genetic traits that alter that hair pattern significantly, or qualities that prevent an accurate analysis of the hair)
- Any other hair type is welcome (Natural, Physically Damaged, Chemically Damaged, Colored, etc...)
- Hair must be reasonably clean during extraction process without product buildup or pore blockage of the scalp
- Mild dandruff is fine, not extreme though (to be determined during interview)
- Must be comfortable with having strands plucked for the examination (I PROMISE IT WILL NOT HURT AND YOU WILL NOT GO BALD)
I will only be conducting the interviews for the rest of this trimester and beginning of the next. Hair "extraction" will not happen until the interviews are complete. There are limited spots for each hair type. I will only be taking at max 2 people per hair type AND condition. By this I mean two people with straight natural hair, two people for straight chemically damaged, and so on. Thank you so much for your contribution and I look forward to playing in your hair!
